September News from your State Association

We are in the home stretch deadlines are coming fast – what’s new at CSEA?

Louis Avalos is serving as the CSEA Board Director for the OC chapter.

Here are the of some highlights that have occurred from the last meeting.

  • First the Super Seminar 2022 concluded with a successful run good attendance in person and virtual. It was deemed a success and next year for 2023 the format will be the same. All CSEA members are invited to attend either format.
  • Second item the results for survey indicated both formats were well received thus the plans to offer the same for 2023. So other than a few zoom issues the online was a success.
  • Third CSEA is offering the CSEA EA Exam Preparation Course (aka SEE Course) from August 16th to December 6th on Tuesday via Zoom. The group is looking to offer a tax beginner class, but the definition of a beginner has not been discussed so stay tuned.
  • Lastly there is a move to develop a California Representation Credential much like the NTPI representation certificate. This is in the development stages so stay tuned for updates as they become available.

The various group meetings are schedule for the month of September if you wish to attend see the calendar on the CSEA website for time and zoom place.
The CSEA is busy prompting the Enrolled Agents as well defending our right to prepare taxes. Until the next meeting in May happy tax season to all.
